Christmas special episode! For the first episode in six months Jigga & Kid Warrington (that’s Giles and Phil to their mums) dig into ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. The 1946 Frank Capra classic stating the one and only Jimmy Stewart. We ask, what is intercessory prayer? How is George Bailey like Jonah in reverse and what is the value of a human life, so a nice light episode! Listen on Apple podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts!

As a monotheist (Muslim) and an avid film fan, I found your podcast to be one of the most interesting I've listened to in a long time. In under 40 mins, this episode managed to give me loads of history and trivia from the making of the film; it highlighted the affects of debt (which leads to the protagonist George Bailey to attempt suicide) and goes as far as bringing in a spokesperson from a charity that helps with debt relief and the adverse stress it can cause; and then, you totally surprise me by being self critical and breaking down the fact that "Christmas" is in actual fact, an amalgamation of many different pagan rituals and celebrations and has little to do with the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him: pbuh). In Islam, the love for Jesus is paramount. Jesus (pbuh) is one of the most revered messengers of Allah (God) in the Quran (Muslim Bible if you will). He one of the most mentioned Prophets and there is even an entire Surah (chapter), titled and dedicated to his mother, Mary (in Arabic: Maryam) (pbuh(er)). To put it bluntly, no Muslim can be a Muslim if they do not believe in Jesus (in Arabic: Isa) (pbuh). It is the pagan element to Christmas which many Muslims have difficulty integrating with. So to hear you discuss this topic of "Christmas" from both a Christian and an atheist was just unexpected and highly refreshing; especially because this subject in particular was approached in such a jestful, nonchalant manner; it created a discourse between you rather than a debate. Also, having an atheist viewpoint is masterful as it created well rounded questions and perspective of how the film was received. I loved your show and InshaAllah (God willing) I will be listening to all the other episodes!
